Error Codes on the display window

The recorder display shows error codes in addition to the message screen. Main examples are as follows.

The “**” in the “ERR - **” message indicates an error code. To delete this display, press the DISPLAY button on the remote control.

Error code	Description
ERR-01	Error detected in the physical format.
ERR-04	Failure detected in reading/recording of Library data.
ERR-2E	Error detected in encoding or creating of menu	• During recording onto
		DVD-R/RW discs.
ERR-2F	Overflow of the menu size detected.
		• During recording onto
ERR-30	Exceeded maximum number of menus detected.
		DVD-RAM discs.
ERR-31	Recovery of writing executed, depending on conformity of disc
	and drive.
ERR-32	No compatibility of disc format detected.
ERR-33	Write-protection information on a disc detected.
ERR-34	Copy-restricted data or control information error detected.
ERR-35	Exceeded volume detected before recording.
ERR-36	Failure in recording. (title not saved)
ERR-37	Failure in recording. (title saved)
ERR-38	Failure in copying. (title not saved)
ERR-39	Failure in copying. (title saved)
ERR-3A	Unexpected error.
