Optional accessories

You are able to add a number of options and accessories in order to make your computer even more powerful and convenient to use. For reference, the following list details some of the items that are available from your reseller or TOSHIBA dealer:

DDR2-533 Memory

A 512MB or 1,024MB memory module

(DDR2-533) can easily be installed in the

 

computer.

 

 

DDR2-667 Memory

A 512MB, 1,024MB or 2,048MB memory module

Module

(DDR2-667) can easily be installed in the

 

computer.

 

The Front Side Bus (FSB) Speed for this

 

computer is 533MHz. While 667MHz memory

 

modules can be installed, the FSB will depend on

 

the computer.

 

 

Universal AC

If you frequently use your computer at more than

one site, it may be convenient to purchase an

 

additional AC adaptor to be kept at each site in

 

order to remove the need to always carry the

 

adaptor with you.

 

 

Battery Pack

An additional battery pack can be purchased for

 

use as either a spare or replacement. Please

 

refer to Chapter 6, Power and Power-Up Modes,

 

for further information.

 

 

2nd Battery Pack

This battery pack increases your computer’s

 

operating time when a main battery pack is also

 

installed. It is connectable to the 2nd battery port

 

of the computer.

 

 

USB FDD Kit

The USB floppy diskette drive accommodates

 

either a 1.44MB or 720KB floppy diskette through

 

connection to one of the computer’s USB ports.

 

In use, please be aware that, while you cannot

 

format 720KB floppy diskettes under Windows

 

Vista™, you are able to read and write to

 

diskettes that have already been formatted.

 

 

External DVD Super

The DVD Super Multi Drive can run either 12 cm

(4.72") or 8 cm (3.15") CD/DVDs without an

 

adaptor and connects to one of the computer’s

 

USB ports.

The External CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive can run
