BIOS SETUP

3.6 Integrated Peripherals

This option will load the default BIOS values. Choose the option and the following message appears.

On-Chip Primary/Secondary PCI IDE

The chipset contains a PCI IDE interface which supports two IDE channels. Select “Enabled” to activate the first and/or second IDE interface. Select “Disabled” to deactivate this interface when you install a primary and/or secondary add-in IDE interface.

IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave PIO

The four IDE PIO (Programmed Input/Output) fields let you set a PIO mode (0-5) for each of the four IDE devices that the onboard IDE interface supports. Modes 0 through 5 provide successively increased performance. In “Auto” mode, the system automatically determines the best one for each device.
