NOTE: If no fault condition exists, the LED wi ll be green. If a fault condition exists, the LED will flas h
redhen a local keypad is not connected. All faults c an be reset by cycling the reset control input,
pressing the stop key, or cycling power, except as noted in the Corrective Action c olumn below.
NOTE: To recycle power, disconnect power for a full minute, or until the LED ex tinguishes, before
reapplying power.

Fault
Description
Fault Cause
Corrective Action
2 Control Input • Illegal control input sequence • 3–wir e: Verify Start and Jog inputs
are not both ON
• 2–wire: Verify that only one input
(Forward, Reverse, or Jog) is ON
2 Function Loss • Start attempt while STOP
(function loss) input is off • Verify STOP (function loss) input
is ON before attempting to start
drive.
3 Under Voltage • Low input line
• Temporary loss of input line
• Check input line to verify voltage is
within operating specifications
4 Over Voltage • High input line
• Decel time too fast
• Overhauling load
• Check input line to verify voltage is
within operating specifications
• Increase decel time
5 Drive Overload • Excessive driven load • Reduc e the load
5 Motor Overload • Excessive driven load • Verif y P-02 is set correctly
• Reduce the load.
• Check for mechanical binding
6 Over Temperature
• Operating environment is too hot
Fan is blocked or not operating
• Excessive driven load
• Verify the ambient temperature is
<50ºC
• Verify clearance above/below
drive
• Check for fan obstruction. Replace
if necessary
• Reduce the carrier frequency (P–
64)
• Reduce the load
7 Over Current
(300%) • Shaft rotation blocked
• Excessive driven load
• Output wiring is incorrect or
shorted
• Check for obstructions to shaft
rotation or reduce excessive load
• Increase accel/decel time
• Verify output wiring is correct
8 Bad Keypad
Connection • Bad connection from keypad to
drive • Verify keypad is properly
connected to drive
    • •
