Do not use any solvent-based or abrasive cleaners. These types of cleaners may transmit taste to the interior products and damage or discolor the interior.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance of your U-Line product will ensure efficiency, top performance and long life. The maintenance intervals listed are based on normal conditions. You may want to shorten the intervals if you have pets or other special considerations.

To defrost:

1.Turn unit off.

2.Remove all products from the interior.

3.Remove ice bucket and discard ice.

4.Place a towel or other absorbent material on bottom of ice bin and bottom of unit (Figure 7, 1).

5.You can speed up the defrost process by filling the ice bucket with warm water, not hot, and place the bucket back into ice maker housing on the towel or other absorbent material and close door to unit. Or prop door open 2" (5 cm) minimum.

6.After approximately 1 hour, remove ice bucket and discard water.

7.Allow the frost to completely melt naturally. Clean the interior and ice bucket using a mild non-abrasive detergent and warm water solution applied with a soft sponge or non-abrasive cloth. NOTE: DO NOT use any solvent-based or abrasive cleaners. They will discolor or damage the interior.

8.Dampen a soft sponge or non-abrasive cloth in clean water and wipe the cabinet interior and ice bucket to remove any detergent residue. Rinse the sponge or cloth in clean water and repeat as necessary until the cabinet and ice bucket are clean, then dry interior with a clean dry cloth.

IMPORTANT

DO NOT place ice bucket in dishwasher. The heat in a dishwasher will warp, discolor and damage the ice bucket.

9. When interior is dry, turn unit back on.

NOTE: To safeguard against contaminants in ice, discard first three batches of ice after defrosting.
