Step 1 Checking the Package Contents
Make sure you have received the following items in the package. If any of these items are missing or damaged, contact the Uniden Parts Department.
Note: Your handset comes with the battery already connected. You must activate the handset. Please see the instructions below.

Step 2 Activate the Handset Before Charging the Battery
Before charging the battery, push the
A pin located on the
bottom of the handset to activate (see label with instructions).
B Peel off the label.
Place the handset in the base and
Dcharge continuously for 15 - 20 hours before using the phone.
Step 3 Connect to Phone Line
When the handset battery pack is fully charged, after
Your phone is set for tone dialing. If your local network requires pulse dialing, please see “Choosing the dialing mode” on page 17.
Note: Three Caller ID options are available: AutoTalk, Caller ID on Call Waiting (CIDCW), and Area Code.
TO SET CALLER ID, LANGUAGE AND DIALING OPTIONS
APress and hold the cid/menu key.
BPress the vol/+ or vol/- key to move the pointer to an option.
CPress select to change the option setting.
DPress end to exit, and return the handset to the base.
