The ISO sensitivity is automatically set based on the information transmitted from the camera to the Speedlight.

Setting the ISO sensitivity manually

You can set the ISO sensitivity manually using the custom setting. (kC-24)

The available ISO sensitivity range is ISO 3 to 8000. Note that the ISO sensitivity set on the camera is given priority.

Test firing functionTest firing function

You can determine whether the subject will receive the correct exposure by test firing the SB-900 before actually taking the picture by pressing the [Test firing]

D button.

• The SB-900 fires at M1/128 flash output in the i-TTL flash mode. The amount of

flash output can be modified in the custom setting. (kC-23)

• In Auto Aperture/Non-TTL auto flash operations, the SB-900 fires at a flash

output controlled by the aperture set.

• In the Manual mode, the SB-900 fires at the flash output value set.

and

• In wireless multiple flash photography, the SB-900 does not perform test firing if

it is set as a master flash unit.
