Important Safety Instructions

Read allinstructions beforeusing the steam oven.

Usethis oven onlyindoors and for itsintended use as
describedin thismanual. Never useyour oven for warming
orheating the room.This is based onsafety considerations.
Yourunit shouldbe installedby a qualified technician.The
ovenmust be installedand electricallygroundedaccording
tolocal codes.
Theoven should onlybe installed andoperated in a room
witha temperaturebetween 41°F (5°C)and 95°F (35°C).In
theevent of frost,there is a dangerthat residual waterleft
inthe pumps can freeze,causing damage.
Beforeusing thenewly installedoven, follow thesteps that
shouldbe taken beforeoperatingthe oven for the firsttime.
Donot attempt to repairor replaceany part of this oven
unlessspecificallyrecommendedin this manual.All servicing
shouldbe referredto a qualifiedtechnician. Warrantyservice
mustbe performedby an authorized serviceagency.
Childrenshouldnot be left alone inthe kitchen whilethe
ovenis in use.
Packagingmaterialcan be dangerous.Danger of suffocation!
Disposeof packagingmaterial accordingto localregulations.
Useonly dry pot holders.Moist or damppotholders on hot
surfacesmay resultin burns fromsteam. Do not let potholder
touchsurface areas.Do not use towelor bulky cloth.
Keeparea clean andfree from combustiblematerials,
gasoline,and otherflammable liquids.Never useyour oven
asa storage space.Combustible items(paper,plastic, etc.)
mayignite and metallicitems may becomehot and cause
burns.Do not pour spiritsover hot foods.Do not leave oven
unsupervisedwhendrying herbs,breads, mushrooms,etc; fire
hazard.
Donot heat unopened food containers;buildup of pressure
maycause the container to explode and resultin injury.
Donot use the oven if it is visibly damaged and/orthere is
visiblesmoke coming from the oven. Keepdoor closed and
immediatelydisconnect from electricalsupply.
Alwaysposition oven racks in desiredlocation while oven is
cool.If rack must be moved while oven is hot,do not let pot
holdercontact hot heating element inoven.
Usecare when opening and touching ovendoor. Let hot air
orsteam escape before removing orreplacing food. Do not
touchglass window on door.Hot air or steam can cause
burnsto hands, face, and/or eyes. Do not sitor rest on the
ovendoor.
Keepoven vents unobstructed. The ovenvent is located at
thefront of the oven and vents into the room.In ProBake
cooking,steam may escape from the steamvent.
Donot clean door gasket. It is essentialfor a good tight
seal.Care should be taken not to rub, damage,or move the
gasket.
Allowsufficient time for the oven to coolbefore cleaning.
Usea damp soft cloth to remove any residualwater in the
bottomof the oven cavity. Do notuse steam cleaners or
spraythe inside or outside of the oven withwater.
Nocommercial oven cleaner or oven linerprotective coating
suchas aluminum foil should be used in or aroundany part
ofthe oven. Improper oven liners may resultin a risk of
electricshock or fire. Keep oven freefrom grease buildup.
DONOT TOUCH HEATING ELEMENTSOR INTERIOR
SURFACESOF THE OVEN. Heating elementsmay be hot
eventhough they are dark in color.Interior surfaces of an
ovenbecome hot enough to cause burns. Duringand after
use,do not touch or let clothing or other flammable
materialscontact heating elementsor interior surfaces of
ovenuntil they have had sufficient timeto cool. Other
surfacesof the oven may become hot enoughto cause
burns,such as the oven vent opening, the surfacenear the
ventopening, and the oven door window.
Keepthis use and care manual for futurereference. If you
sellthe oven or pass it on to a third party,make sure the use
andcare manual accompany the installationinstructions.
