SMTP
“SMTP(mail) server 1”, the domain name or IP address of ext ern al emai l ser ver.
“Reci pi ent emai l add res s 1”, t h e em ail address of recipients for sn a pshot s or log file.
Multiple recipients must be separated by semicolon, ‘;’.
“SMTP(mail) serv er 2”, the domain name or IP addr ess of an ot her email server on ce
the previous server is unreachable.
“Re cipie nt ema il a ddre ss 2 ”, the email address of recipients for the backup server.
“Return email address”, The return email add ress once the m ails fail to send o ut.
FTP
“Local F TP s e rv e r port”, it can be other tha n defaul t port 21. A fter chan ged, externa l
FTP client program must change the server port of connection accordingly.
“1st FTP server”, the domain name or IP address of external FTP server. The
following user settings must be correctly configured for remote access.
“1st FTP user na me”, granted user name on the external FTP server.
“1st FTP password”, granted password on the external FTP server.
“1st FTP remote fold er”, granted folder on the external FTP server. The string must
confo rm to the exte rna l FTP s erver. Some FT P se rver ca nno t acce pt pre ce di ng slas h
symbol before the path i f no vi rtual path m appin g. Refer to the instr uction s of exter nal
FTP server for details. The folder priv ilege must be open for upload.
“Pr imary FT P pa ssive mo de” , if Netwo rk Ca mera is loc ated ins ide the n etwork
protected by firewall, data conn ection f or FTP ma y be prohibited. Passive mod e FTP can
bypass the rule and succeed to upload snapshots. If the passive mode is selected,
Networ k Camera can a utomatic a lly attempt f or active mo de if the exte rnal FTP serve r
does not support passive mode.
