Problem Suggestion
The telephone does
not ring when there is
an incoming call.
Make sure the handset ringer is on (page 9) and/or the te lephone base ringer is on (page 34).
Make sure the telephone line cord and power adapt er are plugged in properly (page 2).
The handset may be too far from the telephone bas e. Move it closer to the telephone base.
There may be too many extension telephones on the telephone line to allow all of them to ring
simultaneously. Try unplugging some of them.
If the other telephones in your home are having the same problem, the problem is in the wiring
or local service. Contact the lo cal telephone company (charges may appl y).
Other electronic products can cause interference to your cordless telephone. Try installing your
telephone as far away as possible from the following electronic devices: wireless routers, radios,
radio towers, pager towers, cellular telephones, digital telephones, intercoms, room monito rs,
televisions, VCRs, personal computers, k itchen appliances, and other cor dless telephones.
Test a working telephone at the telephone jack. If another telephone has the same problem, the
problem is in the telephone jack. Cont act your local telephone company (charg es may apply)
.
The telephone line cord might be malfun ctioning. Try installing a new telephone l ine cord.
Remove and re-insert the battery a nd place the handset in the telephon e base.
Wait for the handset to synchr onize with the telephone base. Allow up to one mi nute for this
to take place.
