About cordless telephones
Privacy: The same features that make a cordless telephone convenient create some limitations. Telephone calls are transmitted between the telephone base and
the cordless handset by radio waves, so there is a possibility that the cordless telepho ne conversations could be intercep ted by radio receiving equipment withi n
range of the cordless handse t. For this reason, you s hould not think of cor dless telephone c onversations as be ing as private as thos e on corded telepho nes.
Electrical power: The telephone bas e of this cordless telephone must be conn ected to a working electrica l outlet. The electrical out let should not be controlled
by a wall switch. Calls cannot be mad e from the cordless h andset if the telep hone base is unplug ged or switched off, o r if the electrica l power is interrupted .
Potential TV inter ference: So me cordless telephones op erate at freque ncies that m ay cause inter ference to tel evisions and VCRs. To minimize o r prevent
such interference, do not place the telep hone base of the cordless tele phone near or on top of a TV or VCR. If interference is exp erienced, moving the co rdless
telephone farther away from th e TV or VCR will often red uce or eliminate the i nterference.
Rechargeable batte ries: This produ ct contains eit her Nickel-cad mium or Nickel-m etal hydride rech argeable batter ies. Exercise ca re in handling bat teries in
order not to create a short circuit with conduc ting material such as rings, bra celets, and keys. The battery or con ductor may overheat and cause har m. Observe
proper polarity between t he battery and the b attery charger.
Nickel-cadmium rec hargeable ba tteries: Disp ose of these batt eries in a safe mann er. Do not burn or punc ture the batter y. Like other batteri es of this type,
if burned or punctured, they co uld release causti c material which co uld cause injury.

Warranty
What does this limited warr anty cover?
The manufacturer of thi s VTech Product wa rrants to the ho lder of a valid proof of purcha se (“Consumer ” or “you”) t hat the Product and all access ories provided
in the sales p ackage (“Pr oduct”) are free f rom defects in materi al and wor kmanship, p ursuant to the followi ng terms and conditi ons, when installed and used
normally and in accordan ce with the Produ ct operating ins tructions. Thi s limited warrant y extends only to t he Consumer for Pr oducts purchas ed and used in the
United States of America and Can ada.
What will VTech do if the Produc t is not free from def ects in materia ls and workmanshi p during the limite d warranty perio d (“Materiall y Defective Prod uct”)?
During the limited warranty period, VTech’s authorized service representative will repair or replace at VTech’s option, without charge, a Materially Defective Product. If
we repair the Product, we may use new or refurbished replacement parts. If we choose to replace the Product, we may replace it with a new or refurbished Product of
the same or similar design. We will retain defective parts, modules, or equipment. Repair or replacement of the Product, at VTech’s option, is your exclusive remedy.
VTech will return the repaired or re placement Produc ts to you in working co ndition. You should expe ct the repair or repl acement to take approx imately 30 days.
How long is the limited warra nty period?
The limited warranty period for the Produc t extends for ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase. If VTech repairs or repl aces a Materially Defecti ve Product under
the terms of this limited warranty, this limited warranty also applies to the repaired or replacement Product for a period of either (a) 90 days from the date the repaired
or replacement Product is shi pped to you or (b) the time re maining on the orig inal one-year warran ty; whichever is lon ger.
What is not covered by this limit ed warranty?
This limited warranty does no t cover:
1. Produc t that has bee n subjec ted to misuse, a ccident, shipping or other physical damage, improper installatio n, abnorma l operati on or handling, neglect,
inundation, re, water or other liq uid intrusion; or
