Taking care of your telephone
Your cordless telephone contains sophisticated electronic parts, so it must be treated with care
Avoid rough treatment
Place the handset down gently Save the original packing materials to protect your telephone if you ever need to ship it
Avoid water
Your telephone can be damaged if it gets wet Do not use the handset outdoors in the rain, or handle it with wet hands Do not install your telephone base near a sink, bathtub or shower
Electrical storms
Electrical storms can sometimes cause power surges harmful to electronic equipment For your own safety, use caution when using electric appliances during storms
Cleaning your telephone
Your telephone has a durable plastic casing that should retain its luster for many years Clean it only with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild soap Do not use excess water or
cleaning solvents of any kind
Remember that electrical appliances can cause serious injury if used when you are wet or standing in water If your telephone base should fall into water, DO NOT RETRIEVE IT UNTIL YOU
UNPLUG THE POWER CORD AND TELEPHONE LINE CORDS FROM THE WALL Then pull the unit out by the unplugged cords
What does this limited warranty cover?
• The manufacturer of this VTech Product w arrants to the holde r of a valid proof of purch ase (“Consumer ” or “you”) that the Pr oduct and all acce ssories provide d in the sales packag e
(“Product”) are free from defec ts in material and wor kmanship, pursuan t to the following term s and conditions , when installed and u sed normally and in a ccordance with t he Product
operating instructions This l imited warranty ex tends only to the Cons umer for Products pu rchased and used i n the United States of Am erica and Canada
What will VTech do if the Product is not free from defects in materials and workmanship during the limited warranty period (“Materially Defective Product”)?
• During the limited warranty period, VTech’s aut horized servic e representative wi ll repair or replace a t VTech’s option, without c harge, a Materially D efective Produc t If we repair the Produ ct,
we may use new or refurbished replaceme nt parts If we choo se to replace the Prod uct, we may replace it w ith a new or refurbish ed Product of the sam e or similar design We wi ll retain
defective parts, modules, or equ ipment Repair or re placement of the Prod uct, at VTech’s option, is y our exclusive remed y VTech will return repaire d or replacement Pro ducts to you in
working condition You should expect t he repair or replace ment to take approxim ately 30 days
How long is the limited warranty period?
• The limited warranty period for the p roduct extends fo r ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purc hase if we repair or repl ace a Materially Defe ctive Product und er the terms of this lim ited
warranty Thi s limited warrant y also applies to repai red or replacement P roducts for a perio d of either (a) 90 days from th e date the repaired or re placement Produc t is shipped to you or (b)
the time rem aining on the origi nal one-year warrant y; whichever is lon ger.
What is not covered by this limited warranty?
This limited warranty does not cover
1. Product that h as been subjected t o misuse, accident , shipping or other phy sical damage, impr oper installati on, abnormal opera tion or handling, ne glect, inundati on, re, water or other liqu id
intrusio n; or
2. Product that h as been damaged due to r epair, alteration or mo dication by anyone o ther than an authoriz ed service repre sentative of VTech; or
3. Product to the extent that the probl em experienced is c aused by signal cond itions, network r eliability, or cabl e or antenna systems; or
4. Product to the ex tent that the probl em is caused by use wit h non-VTech electric al accessories; o r
