WIRE SIZES

Make sure the proper extension cord is used and is in good condition. The use of any extension cord will cause some loss of power. To keep this to a minimum and to prevent overheating and motor burnout, use the table below to determine the minimum wire size (A.W.G.) extension cord.

EXTENSION CORD

ƒUse only 3-wire extension cords which have 3-prong grounding type plugs and 3- pole receptacles which accept the tools plug.

ƒUse only extension cords intended for outside use. These extension cords are identified by a marking “acceptable for use with outdoor appliances, store indoors while not in use.”

ƒUse only extension cords having an electrical rating not less than the rating of the product.

ƒDo not use damaged extension cords. Examine extension cords before using and replace if damaged.

ƒDo not abuse extension cord and do not yank on any cord to disconnect.

ƒKeep cord away from heat and sharp edges.

ƒAlways disconnect the extension cord from the receptacles before disconnecting the product from the extension cord.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrocution keep all connectors dry and off the ground. Do not touch plug with wet hands.
