PROBLEM

Cooking results are not what you expected

POSSIBLE CAUSE

The range is not level.

The oven temperature seems too low or too high.

The oven was not preheated as the recipe calls for.

The recipe you are using may need to be altered to improve the taste or appearance of the food.

The pans are not the type or size recommended in the recipe.

There is not proper air circula- tion around pan when baking.

Flame size does not fit the cooking utensil being used.

When broiling, you have not completely closed the oven door.

The flow of combustion and/or ventilation air to the range is blocked.

SOLUTION

Level range. (See Installation

Instructions.)

Adjust the oven temperature control. (See “Adjusting the oven temperature control” on page 13.)

Preheat oven if called for in recipe.

Alter recipe as needed.

Refer to a reliable cookbook for recommended pan type and size.

Allow 1% to 2 inches (4-5 cm) on all sides of the pans for air circulation. There must be a minimum space of 1 inch (3 cm).

Adjust flame size to fit cooking utensil.

Completely close oven door.
