D.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Charts 1, 2, and 3 show the effect which dial settings have upon boiler water temperature under varying outside air temperatures. Some examples of how these charts may be used are as follows:
Example 1 (See Chart 1) – To determine boiler water tempera- ture for 10° outside air temperature and a #3 square dial setting, move up on 10° line until it intersects the heavy line for a #3 square dial setting. Then move horizontally to left and read water temperature of 150°.
Example 2 (See Chart 1) – To determine square dial setting for desired boiler water temperature of 210° at
Example 3 – Note the effect of changing setting of the round dial from “N” (Chart 1) to 4 divisions “warmer” than “N” (Chart 3). Water temperature has been increased 20° for all outside temperatures.
