show HEAT 18 (this is the factory prepro- grammed heating anticipation setting). You may select any anticipation setting from 4 to 40 (note that for add-on heat pump sys- tems, a minimum anticipation setting of

10is recommended). Whenever adjusting anticipation, increase or decrease the dis- played number by only one or two digits, then let the system run for a while to see if the adjustment is sufficient. If the heat cycles

are too short, press TIME to increase the

FWD

cycle time. If the heat cycles are too long,

press BACKTIME to decrease the cycle time. To

set cooling anticipation, press SET and

CLOCK

ADV

at the same time again. The display

will show COOL 14 (factory preprogrammed

cooling anticipation). Use the

TIME

and

FWD

BACKTIME

buttons to adjust anticipation. To set

auxiliary heat anticipation, press

CLOCKSET

will show AUX 8 (factory preprogrammed

cooling anticipation). Use the

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR — The word BATTERY will flash on the display if the 9 volt alkaline battery is low and should be replaced.
