1.Engage the PTO. Bring the chipper up to operating speed. See the operationsectionfor starting,operation,and stoppinginstructions.

2.Engage the hydraulic feed by moving the control arm as shown in figure 11 below. The feed rate increases as the arm is moved in the forward direction.

3.Feed the branch (up to eight inches in diameter).

4.Reverse the feed by moving the control arm in the reverse direction if the chipper jams. Remove the branch and rotate it before reinserting it into the chute.
