FM tuning

There are two tuning methods: automatic and manual. Automatic tuning is effective when the radio signal is strong and there is no interference. If the radio signal is weak, tune into the FM station manually. You can also use the automatic and manual preset tuning features to store up to 40 stations in total (A1 to E8: 5 preset station groups with 8 preset station numbers each).

This section exceptionally uses the remote control for Europe, Australia, Asia, and Korea models.

When the operation mode selector is set to TV/AV, you can operate all FM functions. When the operation mode selector is set to YSP, you can only operate the functions described in “Selecting a preset station” (see page 54).

Orient the connected FM antenna for the best reception.

Switches between the preset search mode and the frequency search mode (see page 53).

3Numeric buttons

Use numbers 1 through 8 to select the preset station numbers (see page 54).

4ENTRY (/)

Selects the preset station numbers (1 to 8) when the colon (:) is displayed in the front panel display (see page 54).

Selects the tuning frequency when the colon (:) is not displayed in the front panel display (see page 51).

5A-E (/ )

Selects the preset station groups (A to E) (see page 53).

6MEMORY

Stores a preset station in the memory (see page 53).

Hold down this button for more than three seconds to start automatic preset tuning (see page 52).

7SEARCH

Switches between automatic tuning (the AUTO indicator is turned on) and manual tuning (the AUTO indicator is turned off) (see page 51).

8Operation mode selector

Selects the operation mode of this unit.
