Voice - QoS setup

Quality of Service (QoS) refers to both a network's ability to deliver data with minimum delay, and the networking methods used to provide bandwidth for real-time multimedia applications. Click VoIP -> SIP -> QoS to display the following screen.

SIP TOS

Type a priority for voice transmissions. The Prestige applies Type of Service

 

Priority

priority tags with this priority to voice traffic that it transmits.

 

 

 

 

RTP TOS

Type a priority for voice transmissions. The Prestige applies Type of Service

priority tags with this priority to RTP traffic that it transmits.

 

 

 

 

Voice VLAN

Enable VLAN tagging if the Prestige needs to be a member of a VLAN group

 

ID

in order to communicate with the SIP server. Your LAN and gateway must

 

 

also be set up to use VLAN tags. Some switches also give priority to voice

 

 

traffic based on its VLAN tag.

 

 

Type the VLAN ID (VID) from 1 to 4095 for the Prestige to add to voice

 

 

Ethernet frames that it sends out to the network.

 

 

Disable VLAN tagging if the Prestige does not need to be a member of a
