UTILISATION DU TAILLE-BORDURES / COUPE-BORDURES

Taille des bordures

Pour réduire l’usage excessif du fil et améliorer le rendement de la coupe, suivez les étapes ci-après pour couper l’herbe et les mauvaises herbes.

1.Retirez de la zone de travail les fils, les câbles ou tout autre matériau qui pourrait se prendre dans le taille-bordures / coupe- bordures.

2.Tenez fermement l’appareil au moyen des poignées avant et arrière (voir la Figure 20).

3.Faites faire au taille-bordures / coupe- bordures de lents mouvements latéraux ou longitudinaux.

4.Ne mettez pas de pression sur le taille- bordures / coupe-bordures. Laissez sim- plement l’extrémité du fil couper l’herbe ou les mauvaises herbes.

5.Lorsque l’herbe ou les mauvaises herbes sont longues, coupez-les par « tranches », en débutant par le haut et en progressant vers le sol.

RALLONGE DU FIL DE COUPE

MISE EN GARDE

La lame est tranchante. Pour éviter de graves blessures, ne touchez pas à la lame.

Pour rallonger le fil de coupe, frappez le bouton de rallonge sur le sol pendant que le taille- bordures / coupe-bordures fonctionne (voir la Figure 21). La lame fixée au protecteur de coupe tranchera le fil à la longueur appropriée.

Prenez les précautions qui suivent pour vous assurer un rendement optimum.

•Ne laissez pas le bouton de rallonge du fil en contact avec le sol. De cette façon, le fil sortira constamment de la bobine.

•Appuyez une seule fois sur le bouton de rallonge du fil. Si vous avez besoin de plus de fil, attendez quelques secondes avant de recommencer.

•Rallongez régulièrement le fil à mesure qu’il s’use. Si vous attendez trop longtemps avant de rallonger le fil, ce dernier pourrait trop s’user et « rentrer » dans la bobine. Si cela venait à se produire, enlevez la bobine puis faites-en ressortir le fil avant de replacer la bobine sur le taille-bordures / coupe-bordu- res.
