12. OPTIONS

An electric starter, casters,and other parts are availableas options for the RG.X Series.The useof optional partsmay require addition or changeof parts. The assemblyand disassemblyproceduresto be followed in usingoptional parts are describedbelow.

12-l ELECTRIC STARTER

All generatorswith an electric starteraremakeroptions becausethe crankcaserequiresspecialadditionalprocessing.

The engineparts to be changedfor the electric starterspecificationsincludethe crankcase,ring gear, andstartingmotor. For thesemain engineparts, refer to the Robin GasolineEngineService&m.ral. The enginepartsandgeneratorpartsexclusive to the RGX Seriesareexplainedbelow.

12-l-lEXCITING COIL

The standardmodelshavetwo wires for primary exciting, but oneswith an electric starter havetwo additional wires for battery chargingfor a total of four wires.(Fig. 12-1)
