5-4-6INTAKE and EXHAUST VALVES

Remove carbon and gum deposite from the valves, valve seats, intake and exhaust ports and valve guides.

Note: I f the valve faceis dinted or warped, replace the valves with new ones.

Note: if there is an excessive clearancebetween the valve guide andvalve stem, replace the valve guide with a spare. For replacing, pull outthe valveguide, using the valve guide puller and bolts as shown in Fig. 31, and press-fita new valve guide into place.
