7. GOVERNORADJUSTMENT

Model EY 15V and EY20V employ a centrifugal flyweight type governor. The governor is mounted on the governor gear, and the throttlevalve of the carburetor is automatically regulated by a lever which is connect- ed to the governorin order to maintain constant engine speedagainst load variations.

The adjustment procedureof the governoris as follows

1)Turn the speed control lever towards high speed, and confirm that the carburetor throttle valve is fully opened.

For EY15V the governor spring is to be hooked atthepoints 2 A, while it is tobehookedat the points 2 ++ B for EY20V. (See Fig. 46.)

Note: The governor lever for E Y20V has an em- bossed mark 20, while the lever of E Y 15V has no mark on it.

TheDimensions of the governor spring to be hooked are different each other accordingto the engine revolution.
