
Locating connectors on the rear of your computer
Figure 2 “Rear connector locations” on page 10 shows the locations of the connectors on the rear of your computer. Some connectors on the rear of your computer are color-coded to help you determine where to connect the cables to your computer.

Connector | Description |
Ethernet connector | Used to attach an Ethernet cable for a local area network (LAN). |

USB connector | Used to attach a device that requires a USB connector, such as a USB keyboard, a |
| USB mouse, a USB scanner, or a USB printer. If you have more than six USB |
| devices, you can purchase a USB hub, which you can use to connect additional |
| USB devices. |
HDMI connector | Used to deliver uncompressed |
| signals through a single cable. This HDMI connector can attach a high performance |
| monitor, a direct drive monitor, or other audio or video devices that use an HDMI |
| connector. |
