Manual method:

1.Remove the printhead using the instructions in Section 5G.

2.Moisten a lint-free cloth with water.

3.Hold the cloth against the

nozzles for three seconds. This will “wick” some additional ink onto the damp cloth.

4. Wipe in one direction only.

5. Repeat the process until all colors appear evenly on the cloth.

6.Finally, clean the copper contacts on the back of

the printhead and on the carriage.

G.REPLACING THE PRINTHEAD

Regular replacement of the printhead is not necessary. However it may become necessary if you notice a gradual decrease in print quality or if some of the print nozzles are still clogged after repeated manual cleanings as described in Section 5F.

Follow this procedure:

1.Press the Pause and Load/Feed buttons simultaneously to move the print carriage to the center of the print area.

Unload

Press Pause + Load/Feed

 

to Start and Finish.
