4.The Recorder Trays then automatically shut. As soon as each drive tray closes the burn process will begin for that drive. With two drives, each drive burns independently of the other. If a disc does not record properly (meaning that all or part of that disc is not recordable), the Robotic Disc Transporter picks it out of the Recorder Tray and sends it to the Reject Area.

5.The Recorders are now writing to the discs. If you were to fully record a CD with data, audio, video or music (650 MB), recording time is about 3 ½ minutes each. A full DVD records in about 7-15 minutes depending on the speed of the media to which you are recording. Most jobs don't fill the entire disc, so recording time is usually less than this. After recording, the Recorder Tray opens automatically. The Robotic Disc Transporter will lift the disc out of the Recorder Tray. The Printer Tray will open. The Robotic Disc Transporter will lower the disc into the Printer Tray, and the Printer Tray will then automatically close.

6.The Robotic Disc Transporter will load the open Recorder Drives with blank discs from the Input Bin to start record- ing the next round.

7.Once the second round disc is loaded in the Recorder Tray, printing will start with the recorded disc from the previous round. This simultaneous printing and recording greatly increases the throughput of your Publisher.
