Remove the metal plate in the direction of the arrow.

Locate the PostScript SIMM slot (the first slot on the left as shown) and the memory SIMM slot (the second slot on the right as shown) on the control board. They are not interchangeable.

To install a memory SIMM, continue with Step 5.

To install the PostScript SIMM, go to Step 7 on page B-6.

Install the memory SIMM into the second slot labeled “DRAM” as shown, slightly angled, notch side up.

Push back on the SIMM until it clicks into place.
