Planning the Installation

Environmental Requirements

To assure proper operation and avoid unnecessary maintenance, the installation site must conform to certain environmental specifications.

Ambient operating	50° - 104°F (5° - 40°C)
temperature

Non-operating temperature	-35°C to 65°C

Airflow requirements	Air flows into the switch from front to back.
	Cabinet doors must not impede the front-to-back
	air flow.
	Power supplies use the air inside the chassis and
	exhaust out the front of the chassis.

Humidity	5% to 85% relative humidity (noncondensing).
