Appendix B Error Messages

Cisco MGM Client Error and Warning Messages

Error Message EID-638: A MGM administrator has modified the MGM domain. As a result, your request to modify the MGM topology is invalid. Try again.

Recommended Action While you were adding an NE or group to an existing group, another administrator deleted the existing group. Consequently, your request to add an NE or group is now invalid. Reselect the node and retry.

Error Message EID-639: One or more groups are missing from the domain. Those groups will be added to the Lost and Found group in the MGM domain.

Recommended Action No action is required. The missing group has been added to the Lost and Found group in the Cisco MGM domain.

Error Message EID-640: Searched item not found.

Recommended Action Repeat the search with new search criteria.

Error Message EID-642: Database error: Cannot paste the requested node.

Recommended Action Try the paste action again. If the problem persists, contact Cisco technical support.

Error Message EID-643: Database error: Cannot delete the requested node.

Recommended Action Delete the node again. If the problem persists, contact Cisco technical support.

Error Message EID-644: Database error: Cannot undelete the requested node.

Recommended Action Undelete the node again. If the problem persists, contact Cisco technical support.

Error Message EID-645: Cannot purge the requested NE. Action failed.

Recommended Action An NE can be purged only if it is out of service. If the operational state of the NE is not out of service, undelete the NE, mark it out of service, and delete it again. Try to purge the NE again.

Error Message EID-646: Cannot add the new NE. An NE with the same name or IP address still exists in the MGM domain. Contact Cisco TAC for support.

Recommended Action Contact Cisco technical support.

Error Message EID-647: Object cannot be copied because the source and destination are the same.

Recommended Action Specify a different source and destination.
