Controlling the AV receiver

To control the AV receiver, press the [RECEIVER] button to select Receiver mode.

You can also use the remote controller to control your DVD/BD player, CD player, and other components. See page 60 for more details.

aON/STANDBY button (35)

Sets the AV receiver to On or Standby.

bREMOTE MODE/INPUT SELECTOR buttons (38, 62–65)

Selects the remote controller modes and the input sources.

cTONE, +, and – buttons (40)

Used to adjust the tone (bass and treble).

dSP A/B button (15, 38)

This button is used to turn speaker sets A and B on or off.

eArrow [q]/[w]/[e]/[r] and ENTER buttons

Used to select and adjust settings.

fSETUP button

Used to change settings.

gLISTENING MODE buttons (47)

Used to select the listening modes.

hDIMMER button (39)

Adjusts the display brightness.

iDISPLAY button (40)

Displays information about the current input source.

jMUTING button (39)

Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver.

kVOL [q]/[w] button (38)

Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver regardless of the currently selected remote controller mode.

lRETURN button

Returns to the previous display when changing settings.

mAUDIO button (41, 58)

Used to change audio settings.

nSLEEP button (39)

Used with the Sleep function.

Controlling the tuner

To control the AV receiver’s tuner, press the [AM], [FM] button.

Arrow [q]/[w] buttons

Used to tune into radio stations.

D.TUN button (44)

Selects the Direct tuning mode.

DISPLAY button (44)

Displays information about the band, frequency, preset number, and so on.

CH +/– button (45)

Selects radio presets.

Number buttons (44)

Used to select AM and FM radio stations directly (In the Direct tuning mode).

Note:

An Onkyo cassette recorder connected via ucan also be controlled in Receiver mode (see page 65).
