AT-FH812u and AT-FH824u User’s Guide
Before you access the hub via an in-band Telnet connection or with a Web browser, you must first configure it with a valid IP address, subnet mask and default gateway, using an out-of-band connection or BootP protocol. Once the hub's IP parameters are configured, you can access the on-board configuration program from anywhere within the attached network.
Note
Use the Network Configuration menu to specify the maximum number of simultaneous Telnet connections supported by the system.
The on-board configuration program can be accessed by running Telnet or a web browser (Internet Explorer® 3.0 or above, or Netscape Navigator® 3.0 or above) from any computer attached to the network. It can also be managed from a computer using network management software. However, prior to accessing the hub (or connected stack), you must first configure it with a valid IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway using an out-of-band connection or BootP protocol.
Note
The on-board program only provides access to basic configuration functions. To access the full range of SNMP mangement functions, you must use SNMP-based network mangement software.
