Chapter 1: Overview

ecoFriendly Button

The ecoFriendly button enables the Low Power Mode (LPM) feature. This mode allows you to conserve power by turning off the port and MODE LEDs when they are not required. To toggle the LEDs on or off, press the ecoFriendly button, located on the front panel of the switch.

The LPM feature does not affect the network operations of the switch or the Power (PWR) and System (SYS) LEDs.

The front panel ecoFriendly button is illustrated in Figure 12.
