Chapter 4: AMI BIOS

Maximum Payload

This feature selects the setting for the PCIE maximum payload size. The options are Auto, 128 Bytes, and 256 Bytes, 512 Bytes, 1024 Bytes, 2048 Bytes, and 4096 Bytes.

Maximum Read Request

This feature selects the setting for the PCIE maximum Read Request size. The options are Auto, 128 Bytes, 256 Bytes, 512 Bytes, 1024 Bytes, 2048 Bytes, and 4096 Bytes.

Above 4G Decoding

Set this item to Enabled to activate 64-bit capable devices to be decoded above the 4G address space. This works only if the system supports 64-bit PCI decoding. The options are Enabled and Disabled.

VGA Palette Snoop

When enabled, this feature allows video add-on cards to borrow the color palette from the system's video card. The options are Enabled and Disabled.

PCI Express Settings

Relaxed Ordering

Select Enabled to allow certain PCI-E transactions to violate the strict ordering rules of PCI-E so that a transaction can be completed before other transactions that have already been queued in order to enhance PCI-E performance. The options are Disabled and Enabled.

Extended Tag

Select Enabled to allow a PCI Express device to use 8-bit tag field as a requester. The options are Disabled and Enabled.

No Snoop

Select Enabled to activate the PCI Express no snoop option. The options are Disabled and Enabled.

Maximum Payload

This feature selects the setting for the PCI Express maximum payload size. The options are Auto, 128 Bytes, and 256 Bytes, 512 Bytes, 1024 Bytes, 2048 Bytes, and 4096 Bytes.
