An SGPIO (Serial General Purpose

Input/Output) header is included on the serverboard. This header is used to communicate with the System Monitor- ing chip on the backplane to monitor SATA activity. See the table on the right for pin deﬁnitions.

I2C Power Connector

This header is for I2C, which may be used to monitor the status of the power supply, fan and system temperature. See the table on the right for pin deﬁnitions.

LAN1/2 (Ethernet Ports)

Two gigabit Ethernet ports (designated LAN1 and LAN2) are located beside the VGA port on the I/O backplane. These ports accept RJ45 type cables.
