4 Web-based Management

&Note:

For DHCP or fixed IP service, the address of the next hop must be entered in the Gateway box (the box must not be left blank), while Interface can be the default None or any other value. For other services (i.e. IPoA, PPPoA, PPPoE), either Interface or Gateway must be specified with a value; if both of them are configured, only Interface takes effect.

4.7 Security Interface

Click Security in the Main menu and select the Interface tab in the Main Frame to open the Security Interface Configuration page.

This page allows you to:

Enable/disable the security.

Enable/disable the firewall.

Enable/disable the intrusion detection.

Assign the security level.

Add/delete a security interface.

Enable/disable NAT to internal interfaces.

NAT configuration.

To enable/disable the firewall, click the radio button labeled Enabled/Disabled

corresponding to Firewall, then click the button.

To enable/disable the intrusion detection, click the radio button labeled Enabled/Disabled corresponding to Intrusion Detection, then click the

button.
