VLAN Setting

A Virtual LAN (VLAN) is a logical network grouping that limits the broadcast domain, which would allow you to isolate network traffic, so only the members of the same VLAN will receive traffic from the ones of the same VLAN. Basically, creating a VLAN from a switch is logically equivalent of reconnecting a group of network devices to another Layer 2 switch. However, all the network devices are still plugged into the same switch physically.

VLAN Member Setting (Port Based)

The switch provides port based VLAN configuration. Users can enable the function via VALN member setting. That is a set of ports allowed to be forwarded from the source port. The overall number of VLAN groups that this switch can support is 26.

„VLAN Entry No.: Pull down the selection menu item and choose a number to define a VLAN.

„Read: Users might want to edit an existent VLAN by selecting the VLAN number and then click read button to display the member ports of the VLAN.

„Dest PORT: The label of each port.

„Select: Tick the check boxes to have the ports being the members of the VLAN.

„Click Update to have the configuration take effect.

„VLAN MEMBER: Displays the member ports for all the ports.
