8.1.9 Advanced Configuration Options

The Advanced Configuration page provides access to a number of modem configuration options.

This is where the configuration options for these web pages can be changed. Be careful when enabling remote access to these web pages if the modem is not on a closed IP network since this will enable anyone on the Internet to gain access to the modem’s configuration (if they can break the access password).

The modem can be given an ID which can be used in one of the messages sent with GPS or Input reports. This allows you to identify the modem easily – for instance “Site_123”.

If you wish to reset all the modem’s configurable parameters back to their original factory settings then check the box called Restore Factory Defaults. After clicking Submit to save this change you will need to reconfigure the modem for your new application requirements.
