Before connecting power to the unit, determine the required configuration of ASM-20 and position the straps accordingly. The PCB strap locations of Figure 2-3correspond to the numbers listed under the "Strap Identity" column in Table 2-1.

HIGH VOLTAGE

Only authorized and qualified service personnel should have access inside the equipment.

Disconnect the ASM-20 power cable and leased line connections before opening the top cover.

To set the jumpers and switches:

1.Disconnect the power cable.

2.Loosen the screws holding the bottom cover in place.

3.Remove the top cover.

4.Adjust the jumpers as required. See Table 2-1.

5.Replace the top cover and tighten the retaining screws.
