Saving and restoring configuration files

The web-based configuration interface makes it easy to save and restore configuration settings on the Diva 2430. This is useful for backup purposes or if you intend to maintain several different configurations.

When you save the configuration settings, they are stored in a file on your computer.

Note: Configuration settings are not lost when upgrading the firmware to a newer version.

However, configuration settings may not be saved if you load an older firmware on the device.

For more information on upgrading firmware, see Upgrading Firmware on page 44.

Procedure

1.From the Main Menu, click ‘Configuration’. The ‘Configuration maintenance’ page appears.

Click ‘Backup’ to save your configuration settings to a file on your computer.

To restore a configuration, click ‘Browse’ to select the configuration file, then click ‘Restore’.

To reset the device back to factory defaults, click the ‘Reset factory settings’ button.
