13.2.Mediacornersliftabitup(rigidmedia):

Placeanotherpieceofrigidmedia(sameheightorlowe r)infrontoftheloaded rigid.Thiswillensureastrongervacuumonthefront corners.

Movethesubstratetoanotherleftmarginpositionsoth atyouwillcoverwith themediaplateaslittleaspossibleaircompartment sofyourvacuumtable; Thenotusedvacuumcompartmentscanthenbefullycl osedwiththe correspondingvalve,leavingmorevacuumfortheusedc ompartments.

Avoidthatamediaedgeislayingdownontheseparati onlinebetween2 neighboringvacuumcompartments;Inthiszoneofabout8 cm,youhaveless vacuumavailable.

13.3.Imagesize/border:(WasatchRip)

Bydefault,whenyouinstalltheWasatchRip,there

isanEPSborderactive.

Thiswillputaborderof2.54cmaroundeverynewopene

dimage.

Thiswillmakeborderlessimageprintingverydiffic

ult,intermsofplacement.

InWasatchRIP;selectOPTIONS,SetEPSBorder….and

setthevalueto“0”.

13.4.Positioningofmediaanduseofthevacuumva lves

Thevacuumtableisdividedin4innercompartments; Thetablewidthis254cm,so eachcompartmentisabout63.5cm.Thebordersofthese compartmentsaremarked withayellowbulletontothebeambar,andthecompar tmentsarenumberedfrom hometopurgeinsequenceV1untilV4.

Whenpositioningthemedia,itisimportanttolaydown themediasymmetricaltothe compartments,andcompletelycoverasmuchcompartmen tsaspossible. Trytoavoidthatthemediaedgeislayingdowninth eseparationlinebetween2 compartments(lessvacuumonthatplace).

Onlythatway,areliabletransportispossible.

Alsothevalvesattherearoftheenginehavetobes

etaccordingly:

-if2neighborcompartmentsareclosed:leavethatring blowerOFF Withoutdoingthis,thevacuuminafullycoveredarea ismuchhigherthanonthehalf coveredarea,withasresultthatthemediawillshow ‘asmiley’ontotherearendof thevacuumtable,andthiscanleadtoheadcrashes andnotstraightmediatransport.
