Switch Age Time
When a switch receives a message, the originating MAC address and the originating port is saved in the switch’s MAC address table. The switch uses the message’s destination MAC address and previous entries in the MAC address table to select a specific port to use to transmit the message to its destination. To configure Switch Age Time:
1.Click Aging Time Configuration from the left navigation pane of the Switch Status page. This displays the Switch Aging Time Configuration page.
2.In Aging Time, enter the number of seconds that must pass before the port MAC address entry is removed from the table. This can be a number between 10 and 100,000.
3.Click Apply.
