FMU’s Technology

Microsoft® .NET Framework

FMU was developed using the Microsoft .NET Framework, which provides an environment for extensibility. Future revisions of FMU will allow the FMU Server components to be deployed on different platforms, as well as to inter- face with different wireless devices.

The Common Language Runtime provided by Microsoft to run applications is supported on a wide variety of devices. This simplifies the task of creating one application to run on multiple devices, making development fast and effi- cient. The Runtime also has security features which greatly enhance software reliability.
