5.4 Serial ports

The eWON4002™ is provided with 3 serial ports, 2 of which (port 1 and port 3) are configurable (RS485, RS422, RS232), and one (port 2) is a full RS232 (with all control lines present).

The configuration of the physical serial port 1 mode is done by a set of 4 dip switches that are located on the left face from the unit. The settings of the switches are shown in the table below (note: please don’t forget that switch 1 is the most right one on the dip switch panel that matches serial port 1: the dip switch panel stands at the bottom right from the eWON®’s left face, just beside the serial port 1 connector, which stands at the bottom left from the eWON®’s front face)
