5.7Database Setup

The menu displays information of internal and external HDDs. In the main menu, select <Database Setup> and press ENTER. The following menu is displayed.

NOTE: If the detection of HDDs fails, the message “HDD fail” will be

displayed.

5.7.1Total / Free Size of HDD

Total Size shows the total storage capacity of HDDs that have been added to the database. Free Size indicates free storage space available for recording in the database, or “Circular” will be shown if the DVR is set to record in circular mode. Both of them are “read only”.

5.7.2Available Recording Time

The Avail Rec. Time indicates the available time duration for recording. If the DVR is set to record in circular mode, the item will show “Circular”. The information is “read only”.

5.7.3Internal Disks

Select <Internal Disks> to see information of the built-in HDDs. The menu is displayed as below.

<Device Name> and <Temp.> are read-only. The number in front of device name represents the SATA port that the HDD is connected to. Temperature of the HDD will be available if the HDD supports S.M.A.R.T. function. If no storage device can be found, the message “No Available Items!” will be displayed.
