The unit’s display

Audio Level Meter

Shows the recording level. Adjust the recording level with Audio REC level control CH1/MIC, CH2 on the front panel so that the level meter does not exceed 0 dB.

The display mode of the main display section

Shows disc structure.

TITLE : Title number

CHAP : Chapter number

PG : Program number

PL : Play list number

REC/PLAY Indication

Shows play or recording status.

Remain

REMAIN” provides rough indication of the disc remaining amount. Each lamp goes off one after another according to the decrease of the disc remaining amount. This is not an exact indication of the disc remaining

amount.

Shows the type of disc.

DVD-RAM : DVD-RAM

DVD-R : DVD-R

DVD : Finalized DVD-R

Recording mode

Shows recording mode.

XP : High-quality mode

SP : Normal mode

LP : Long play mode

Input

Shows video input.

V : Video

SV : S-Video

DV : DV IN

Main display section

Shows various types of information.

Recording and play counter

Remaining recording time

(For example: 1 hour Displayed as “R 1:00”)

Current time

Title, Chapter, Group

Miscellaneous messages
