Connecting Cables
Shielded audio/video cables (provided) should be used for all connections between components. For best results:
ρUse 75 Ohm coaxial shielded cables.
ρCheck type of output and input connectors on your components.
ρDetermine required cable lengths.
AC Power Supply Cord
CAUTION: TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO WIDE SLOT OF AC OUTLET AND FULLY INSERT. DO NOT USE A PLUG WITH A RECEPTACLE OR OTHER OUTLET UNLESS THE BLADE CAN BE FULLY INSERTED TO PREVENT BLADE EXPOSURE.
Polarized Plug
PROTECT POWER CORDS FROM BEING WALKED ON, ROLLED OVER, CRIMPED, BENT OR PINCHED, PARTICULARLY AT PLUGS, CONVENIENCE RECEPTACLES, AND THE POINT WHERE THEY EXIT FROM THE APPARATUS.
Satellite Dish Antenna Connection
Connect the cable coming from the DIRECTV satellite dish to the Satellite In jack on the Digital Satellite Receiver.
Note: With this receiver and the proper satellite dish antenna, you may be able to subscribe to local channels from DIRECTV in certain markets. Additional equipment may be required in some areas. Check with your retailer or visit DIRECTV.com for information on availability of local channels from DIRECTV in your area.
