INITIAL SETTINGSCONNECTION AND

TV (with external input jacks)

You will not be able to hear all of the sound being output by the Product if you use the supplied VIDEO/AUDIO cable to a monaural TV that has only one AUDIO input jack.

•Make sure that colours of the jacks and plugs match up when connecting the cable.

•Connect the Product directly to the TV. If you attempt to view video on a TV connected via a VCR, the copy protection function will scramble the picture.

•If you want to listen to the audio through audio equipment, connect only the VIDEO cable to the TV.

Using the Component Colour (Y, PB (CB) and PR (CR)) Output Jacks

Colour Output Jacks (Y, PB (CB) and PR (CR)):

Some TVs and monitors are equipped with input jacks for the component colour signals (Y, PB (CB) and PR (CR)). By connect- ing these input jacks to the corresponding output jacks on the Product, you can enjoy higher quality playback images.

If you are using a TV or monitor equipped with Y, PB (CB) and PR (CR) jacks, use these jacks rather than the S-VIDEO OUT jack.
