EPG Download in Standby

[On] [Off]

The unit is permanently looking for EPG data to fill up programme information in the TV Guide as long as it is tuned to a DVB channel, even in standby mode.

On: An additional "EPG download" during the night is enabled to speed up the loading of data. It will run during one hour between 03:05 am and 05:05 am. During this time "GUIDE" will be shown on the display of the unit.

Off: No EPG download during the night will be done. The TV Guide screen will not appear if you press the GUIDE button in standby. If the unit is tuned to an analogue channel, no EPG data will be loaded.

EPG download is only possible if Quick Start is set to [On]. If you press TIMER out of standby for a TIMER recording during EPG download, the TIMER recording will start after the download is finished and not directly.

Software Update in Standby

[On] [Off]

In standby mode the unit searches for new software at night between 3:05 am and 5:05 am.

On: If a new software is found, the download starts automatically. The download procedure lasts appr. 10-15 minutes. During this time "SW-DL" will be shown on the display of the unit. It is recommended not to operate the unit during this time.

Off: If the setting is set to [Off], no automatic software download is executed.

If TIMER recordings are programmed for the time between 3:05 am and 5:05 am the automatic software download might not be done. The software download will not be executed if the unit is in EXT Link mode between 3:05 am and 5:05 am.

Software Update Search Now

A scan over all digital transponders will be performed to find new software (this search could take up to 10 minutes).

If the system finds an update, a message appears on the screen.

!Press [Yes] to load the new software to your unit. The download takes approximately 15 minutes.

!Do not switch your unit off while the update is running. This may result in data loss.

!A message appears on the screen when the update is complete.
