!Use to select DISC MANAGEMENT and confirm with ENTER.

!Use to select the desired menu and confirm with ENTER.

!Use FUNCTIONS to return to the FUNCTIONS menu.

!Enter the name. The name is displayed in the FUNCTIONS window. You cannot give a name to a disc after it has been finalised.

Disc Protection RAM

This procedure allows you to activate or deactivate write protection.

!Use to select [Yes] and confirm with ENTER. Write Protection On: The padlock is closed.

!To deactivate write protection, use to select [Yes] and confirm with ENTER. Write Protection Off: The padlock is open.

Erase all titles RAM

!Confirm [Erase all titles] with ENTER.

!In the following screen, use to select [Yes] and confirm with ENTER.

In the confirmation message, use to select [Start] and confirm with ENTER. All titles and PLAYLISTS will be erased and cannot be restored.

Protected discs or titles cannot be erased.

Format Disc

Formatting will erase all contents.

This will take approximately 1 minute.

Format Disc RAM-RW(V)-RW(VR)

Some Discs are not formatted. Before you can use them in this unit, they must be formatted. The formatting erases all data on the disc.

!Use to select [Yes] and confirm with ENTER.

!Use to select [Start] and confirm with ENTER.

The formatting process begins. After it is complete, a message is displayed.

!Press ENTER.

!Press RETURN to stop the formatting process.

If the formatting process takes more than 2 minutes, an error may have occurred. The formatting can be cancelled and restarted.

Do not unplug the unit while the disc is being formatted.

During formatting, all data is erased, including recordings created with this unit. DVD-R/+R and CD-R/RW cannot be formatted.
