Setting Up the Satellite Dish Antenna

Selecting RETURN returns you to the Setup Menu.

To install the Satellite Antenna, or to check the current signal level of the antenna, use the Set Up Antenna screen.

Note

Make ertain that the signal strength of the Satellite Antenna is optimized. If the signal is not optimized, you may experience losses in audio or video, especially during rain, snow, or other conditions that tend to degrade signal performance. See the Satellite Dish Antenna Operating Instructions for details on using the Set Up Antenna screen to point the Satellite Antenna and optimize the Satellite Antenna’s signal strength.

1 Select ANTENNA from the Setup Menu.

To determine the elevation and azimuth settings for the Satellite Antenna, select ZIP CODE or LAT/LONG.

qZIP CODE uses your five-digit zip code to determine the elevation and azimuth settings.

qLAT/LONG uses your location’s latitude and longitude to determine the azimuth and elevation settings.

qThe Signal Strength Meter indicates the current signal strength of the Satellite Antenna.

qThe Transponder option allows you to select a transponder number from 1 to 32. You should not need to change this number (the default is 2) unless you’re instructed to do so by your program provider.

See the Satellite Dish Antenna Operating Instructions for details on using the Set Up Antenna screen to point the Satellite Antenna and optimize the Satellite Antenna’s signal strength.

3 Select RETURN to return to the Setup Menu.
